Junior online marketer

32 to 40 hours · Rotterdam · €2,900 – €3,500 based on 40 hours

Does the idea of building brands that make a positive impact, look cool, and are commercially successful excite you?

Do you have a sense of style, an eye for detail, and a business-minded approach? Do you enjoy brainstorming creative campaigns, but love putting ideas into action just as much? Then we’re looking for you.

At GreenStory, we build brands that make a positive social impact, are functional, look cool, and are commercially successful. We combine smart, practical solutions with distinctive design and an entrepreneurial approach. With new products, brands, and international growth plans, we have big ambitions.

That’s why we’re looking for a Junior Online Marketer who combines creativity, business acumen, and organizational skills. Perhaps you studied branding, marketing, design, or fashion and want to further your career in online marketing. Or maybe you already have some experience in a creative or commercial environment and are ready to take the next step.

Your role

You’ll work closely with our CEO, who is currently shaping our online marketing strategy. You’ll help translate marketing ideas into concrete projects, collaborating with our content and product marketing teams, copywriters, media buyers, UX/UI designers, graphic designers, industrial designers, and external partners.

You have an eye for our brands’ image, contribute ideas on the creative direction, and keep commercial results in mind at the same time. You enjoy working with the team on larger projects that truly make a difference for our brands and their growth.

You’re both a thinker and a doer. You naturally take the initiative to handle practical matters, complete tasks, and ensure that plans are actually carried out. From organizing a product launch to setting up a new advertising account: you take on whatever is needed to move a project forward.

You’ll have the opportunity to learn, develop yourself, and take on more and more responsibility, with the potential to eventually advance to the role of Online Marketer.

What will you do?

  • Marketing projects: You’ll help set up and execute projects that contribute to profitable revenue growth, brand development, and better marketing results;
  • Branding and creative direction: You’ll contribute ideas on the look and feel of our brands, products, and campaigns, and collaborate with designers and copywriters to develop strong visual concepts, compelling messaging, and high-quality standards;
  • Advertising: You’ll work closely with our media buyers, help prepare campaigns, coordinate the necessary information and materials, and monitor progress. You won’t be handling the media buying yourself;
  • Email marketing and social media: You’ll help set up, organize, and optimize email campaigns, automations, marketing funnels, and organic social media;
  • Website and sales platforms: You’ll collaborate with UX/UI designers and other specialists to improve our websites and help set up and optimize sales channels such as bol.com, Amazon, and other marketplaces;
  • Product and brand launches: You’ll help plan, organize, and execute new launches, working alongside the relevant teams;
  • Analysis and optimization: You’ll analyze reports, identify opportunities, and help improve key KPIs such as average order value (AOV), lifetime value (LTV), and conversion rate;
  • Organization and execution: You’ll monitor schedules and deadlines, coordinate tasks across teams, and take the initiative to do whatever’s needed to move projects forward. You’ll ensure that tasks aren’t left unfinished but are completed.

Who are we looking for?

  • You have a college or university level of education and thinking, and preferably 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in marketing, branding, design, or a creative commercial environment. Relevant internships count toward this requirement;
  • You have a strong sense of style, aesthetics, and brand experience, and you set high standards for the quality of the final result;
  • You have a business-oriented mindset and are energized by projects that demonstrably contribute to growth and profitability;
  • You’re hands-on: you enjoy contributing ideas, but you find it just as important to take the initiative, carry out tasks, and see them through to completion;
  • You work in a structured manner, maintain an overview of multiple projects, and communicate promptly when deadlines or agreements are at risk;
  • You have strong communication skills, enjoy collaborating with various creative and commercial specialists, and are able to handle feedback well;
  • You take initiative, aren’t afraid to experiment, and are open to taking well-reasoned commercial risks;
  • You are ambitious, eager to learn, and want to continue developing your skills in online marketing;
  • You’re open to using AI tools and new technologies to work smarter and more efficiently;
  • You have a good command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written.

What do we offer?

  • A salary between €2,900 and €3,500 gross per month based on a 40-hour workweek, depending on your knowledge and experience;
  • A 32- to 40-hour workweek, at the office in the Groot Handelsgebouw in Rotterdam, right next to Rotterdam Central Station;
  • You’ll work directly with the CEO and have the opportunity to develop a broad range of skills in online marketing, branding, and commercial strategy;
  • Opportunities to take on more and more responsibility and eventually advance to the role of Online Marketer;
  • a creative environment where you’ll collaborate with designers, copywriters, marketers, and external specialists on various brands and new products;
  • projects that truly make a difference for the growth and future of our brands.
