When we ship packages, both from suppliers to us and from us to you, we do not use bubble plastic and/or plastic tape. The use of paper tape allows the cardboard boxes to be easily recycled. Furthermore, we pack your order in recycled unbleached paper protected with padding chips made from potato starch! 🌱
Using a GreenBook saves an average of 300 A4 paper 🗞️, 1974-12,831L of water 💧 and 14.3kWh of energy. ✨
We also offer the option of composing your own pages with the GreenBook, so you get exactly the pages you need. With this, we want to encourage that you don't use more than what you need and also reduce your paper consumption.
We think it is important to offset our consumption and emissions and we do that with PostNL and Fair Climate Fund. Our consumption and emissions are in production, supplier shipments and our headquarters. We have the consumption and emissions calculated and that calculation is put back into the projects of Fair Climate Fund. Furthermore, the shipments from our headquarters to customers are sent CO2 neutral thanks to PostNL. Our core values and philosophy align nicely with PostNL's sustainable goals. 🤝
We are very conscious of our use and emissions. We think it is very important to give back to nature a piece of what we have taken from it, so that is why we like to invest in sustainable projects. A piece of our revenue goes to Fair Climate Fund.
Fair Climate Fund is a (Dutch NGO) that develops new, creative solutions to persistent global problems. Every six months we calculate the kilometers traveled from suppliers to us and from us to customers. Fair Climate Fund calculates how much CO2 we emit with this and we compensate the total emissions by investing back into the world.
By offsetting our consumption and emissions through Fair Climate Fund, we support the Kenya Biogas Program. The introduction of bio-digesters in Kenya contributes to climate change mitigation and improved living conditions. The reduction of CO2 emissions from bio-digesters in Kenya has been certified by the Gold Standard.
